Wildlife Sanctuary
Bandipur is one of India's most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. Spanning over 828 km² (325.38 sq mi) in Karnataka, the national park is a haven for over 1,200 animal species, including tigers, elephants, leopards, sloth bears, dholes, gaur, sambar deer, spotted deer, and chital. Additionally, the sanctuary provides shelter for 200 indigenous and migratory bird species, along with hundreds of reptile and insect species.
